Come explore the art of meditation and how mindfulness can support your yoga practice!!
In this interactive session, certified yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher Peggy Burt will share insights and ancient wisdom that connects you to the heart and mind through meditation. We will share a gentle yoga practice to apply the principles of mindfulness in movement.
You will have an opportunity to practice:
~ Seated meditation and how to work with energy to soothe or energize
~ Walking meditation practices
~ Mindful breath practices/ pranayama
~ Use of mudra/hand gestures to amplify the effect of meditation
~ Gentle yoga incorporating mindful movement
No prior experience required. All new or aspiring students welcome!
PEGGY BURT has been teaching yoga since 2016. She teaches classes at Yoga House from Gentle, to Challenging Conditions to Level 1. She also teaches Meditation every Saturday morning at 8am. Peggy has completed an in-depth 2-year certification program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher. Please join us!
