Dela is a Certified Iyengar Teacher (Junior I) and has been devoted to the method since 1997. She studied with the Iyengar family in Pune, India in 2006 and again in 2011. Her teaching style is influenced by longtime Iyengar teachers such as Carrie Owerko, Kofi Busia, Anna Delury, Paul Cabanis and Manuso Manos. Dela has been a Certified Massage Therapist since 2002 and graduated from the Ayurvedic Certificate Program at the American University of Complementary Medicine in Los Angeles in 2015. She also holds a B.A. in Media Studies and Painting from Pomona College.
