Each workshop will focus on a specific area of the body: shoulders, hips, back and core. Whether you take one or more, you'll learn simple, effective new ways to support your practice with techniques drawn from Jill's eclectic, seemingly endless supply of knowledge and experience.

SCHEDULE OF WORKSHOPS

REFINE YOUR SPINE ~ 10:00 AM ­ 1:00 PM
Back pain strikes most people at some point in their lives, even yoga and fitness professionals. Correct spinal alignment involves multiple layers of coordinated core activity coupled with proper breathing mechanics. Become fluent in your spinal anatomy from the deep multifidus, psoas and diaphragm, to the more superficial latisimus and rectus abdominals. This workshop identifies spinal "blind spots," and reconditions them with new therapeutic moves. Learn to thoroughly prepare your spine from every conceivable angle. This workshop will give you a new backbone!

HIP HELP ~ 2:30 ­ 5:00 PM
As your practice evolves, some of your poses will feel comfortable and expansive, while others will feel stubborn and stuck. Locked hips can wreak havoc on the practicing yogi. Tight hamstrings lead to back pain and postural imbalances, while bound hip flexors limit abdominal strength and backbend fluidity. Even hyper mobile students have issues with stability. Hip Help will vastly improve your embodiment of your Hip anatomy and prepare the hips for nearly every type of asana. Re-educate your hips,
joint-by-joint and tissue-by-tissue so that movement becomes connected and effortless. This workshop addresses range of motion and hip awakening from every conceivable angle. Students of every level are welcome.
