Our Articulate Spines
Exploring The Mobility of The Spine with Mary Bond
October 19-20, 2-4:30PM
The vertebrae are suspended like a string of pearls, not stacked up like blocks. The healthy spine is a mobile one, functioning with tensional integrity
(tensegrity). It is a tensegrity tower rather than a column. Join Mary Bond in this workshop exploration of the healthy spine as you bring your back
towards its natural flow and function.
Consider the history of our spines:
Understand biomechanical function of the spinal curves.
Explore our spines as tensegrity systems rather than “spinal columns,” maximizing the tensional integrity of our spines through the practice of yoga.
Engage “perceptual tensegrity” to decompress the spine and free the midline.
Enhance spinal fluency and expression.
