Moving Through Grief:
The Yogic Path to Healing
with John Sovec &
Jennifer Levin, LMFT
Saturday, February 23 2:00 - 4:30 PM
All of us at some time in our life will experience grief. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, changes in our physical well being, or even facing dramatic
life changes, we feel deep emotional and physical pain that takes a toll on our ability to live each day. Few of us are prepared for this experience
of loss and the deep emotional journey it can open. Grief is not an illness from which a person recovers; rather, it is a gradual process of transformation.
In this workshop we will explore the journey of grief and its effect on the body, mind, heart, and spirit. Using both movement and process-time together we will:~ Explore how grief presents itself in the body
~ Use asana to open the body and soul to facilitate the grief healing process
~ Process the feelings that may arise from grief
~ Learn practical tools and skills to use on and off the yoga mat as we transform with grief
