Yoga of Joy
Tibetan and Primordial Yoga

With Carry Kim
Saturday, May 15, 2010 • 2:00 - 4:30 PM

Rediscover the childlike joy and spontaneity that resides within in this introduction to the Yoga of Joy, a tantric practice that combines ancient, esoteric disciplines from Vajrayana Yoga and Primordial Yoga (Yoga of Joy) into a nine-step practice. A unique, dynamic and powerfully effective yoga system "discovered" by dakini Yuan Miao during her spiritual awakening, Yoga of Joy gradually (and spontaneously) leads one to the formless state of universal energy. Integrating the physical with the spiritual, the circulation of the blood with subtle energy and the principles of balance between Yin and Yang, Yoga of Joy utilizes a concise and effective combination of postures, breathwork, visualizations, intention, mantra and mudra ("seals"). Ultimately, Yoga of Joy encourages us to release all concepts and rules, return to our inner nature and expand into a joyful, creative, potentiated being with a greater capacity to benefit others. Carry's workshop will include various warm-ups, Vajra Wind organ cleansing breath techniques and the first four steps of the practice. Suitable for students of all levels.
